Welcome to Feldballe Friskole (Denmark)

Erasmus+ Partner School Opportunities

Feldballe Friskole & Børnehus is a Danish independent school located near Ebeltoft in the National Park Mols Bjerge area. We welcome European partner schools who want meaningful, well-organised Erasmus+ collaboration based on trust, clarity, and strong learning outcomes.

We are ready to cooperate on:

  • Job shadowing (staff visits and professional learning)
  • Student exchange (host family-based cultural and school life exchange)

Erasmus+ Experience and Accreditation

Feldballe Friskole is experienced in Erasmus+ cooperation and holds its own Erasmus+ accreditation. We have carried out international collaborations and exchanges with schools in countries such as Germany, France, and Portugal, and we are used to building programmes based on shared objectives, wishes, and key learning points.

This means you can expect:

  • Clear planning and shared goals
  • Safe, structured hosting and programmes
  • Strong focus on learning outcomes and cultural value

Who We Are

Feldballe Friskole is a small independent Danish school with approximately 160 students from 1st to 9th grade. The school was founded in 2010 and later expanded to include lower secondary education.

Our Core Values Include:

  • Academic excellence
  • Creativity
  • Presence and community
  • Challenge and self-expression

We also have a strong tradition of involving the local community in learning, and we have strategically strengthened our international dimension in recent years.

Our Learning Profile: Project-Based Learning (PBL)

Project-Based Learning is a key part of Feldballe Friskole’s identity. Our students work with real-world challenges, real recipients, and authentic products—often over several weeks or months. This approach builds deep learning and strong competencies in:

  • Creativity
  • Critical thinking
  • Collaboration
  • Communication

In our practice, PBL is supported by:

  • Systemic thinking
  • A strong international dimension
  • A culture built around community and presence

What a Visit Can Look Like

We are experienced in designing a structured programme for visiting partners and can organise a clear flow including:

  • Welcome and school introduction
  • Classroom participation with a PBL focus
  • Professional dialogue with teachers and leadership
  • Local cultural experiences (Ebeltoft / Aarhus / National Park Mols Bjerge)

We can also create detailed participation plans (e.g., class/teacher schedules) to ensure visitors get the access and insight they need.

Location: Denmark, Ebeltoft and National Park Mols Bjerge

Our school is located close to Ebeltoft and the landscapes of Mols Bjerge National Park—an area known for coastline, hills, forests, and strong local culture. This setting supports both outdoor learning and a rich cultural programme for visitors.

Expectations & Partnership Agreement

To create a high-quality Erasmus+ partnership, we aim for collaboration that is clear, respectful, and well organised. We agree early on shared goals, roles, and practical frameworks—so the exchange becomes meaningful for both students and staff.

We expect that both schools:

  • Appoint a main contact person (and ideally a small coordinating team)
  • Co-design the programme with clear learning goals and a realistic schedule
  • Ensure responsible supervision and shared safety routines
  • Communicate openly, respond in good time, and handle challenges directly and respectfully
  • Prepare students and host families with clear expectations and practical guidance
  • Include simple reflection and evaluation, so we learn and improve together

If communication or collaboration becomes unclear at any point, we commit to addressing it early—so we return to a shared, constructive partnership built on trust and responsibility.

Let’s Build a Partnership

If you are interested in becoming an Erasmus+ partner school with Feldballe Friskole, we would love to hear from you.
